The '68 Dodge Coronet R/T Page

This is my real live numbers matching R/T! I was lucky to steal this car out of the local paper for $600 about 12 years ago. After dragging it home, I discovered it wasn't running because the fuel pump pushrod had mushroomed on the cam end. After installing an elec. fuel pump it ran. It had a HUGE cam and with the rusted out side pipes made the ground shake. It smoked very badly and the tranny slipped really bad. I took it apart and started fixin things. While the car looks rough cosmetically, mechanically it's about all new. The matching number 440 Magnum has been rebuilt to factory specs except it has forged pistons, pocket ported heads, stainless steel exhaust valves, and hardened exhaust valve seats. The engine has about 2000 miles on it and it just purrs, until you hit the gas and then the tires start howling! The 727 Tranny and the front-end have been rebuilt. Right now it has an open 3.23 but it should be a posi. The car was a stripe delete car with A/C and a tach in the dash. It was and still is a very original car. After I get the body work done and good coat of primer on her she's up for sale! Her original colors are green on green, and I don't want to force the new owner into that choice by painting it!
